Residents in the Scottish coastal town of Stonehaven were
evacuated from their homes on Sunday.
Strong winds and torrential rain caused rivers banks to burst
flooding houses and streets.
Main roads were closed due to the stormy weather and rescuers
used inflatable boats to whisk people away to safety.
Fireman John Morgan said reaching those who are trapped in their
homes is a priority.

Stonehaven, and also over the northeast of Scotland currently,
we've got several appliances dealing with issues at the moment,
mainly dealing with life risk, any persons who are trapped in their
home etc. trying to rescue them and get them to safety
currently."
One 69 year old man said the water levels by his home have
reached high levels.
